Etsy shop access

CopyCatch connects to your Etsy shop through Etsy's official OAuth sign-in. We request read-only access, used to read your shop name, listings, listing photos and listing details so we can monitor for copies. CopyCatch cannot edit listings, manage orders, see payment details or message buyers. You can revoke access at any time from your Etsy account settings.

Data we store

• Your email address (waitlist and account).
• Etsy shop identifier, OAuth tokens (stored encrypted) and listing data we read with your permission.
• Image fingerprints and copies of your listing photos, with timestamps, to provide dated proof of original work.
• Publicly visible details of look-alike listings found in scans, and the takedown letters and case statuses you create.

How we use it

Only to run the service: scanning, alerts, generating letters, keeping your proof log and tracking cases, plus essential service emails.

No selling of data

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data or shop data. We share data only with infrastructure providers that host the service for us (such as our database and hosting providers), under their data protection terms, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time through our support form; we will complete deletion within 30 days. Waitlist members can ask to be removed the same way.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access to it is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
